More firms setting up office in Filinvest City
With its proximity to the labor pools of Laguna, Batangas and Cavite, Filinvest City has become an attractive office location – not just for BPOs which have been driving the office market for over a decade but also for small and medium enterprises, said Catherine A. Ilagan, executive vice-president of Filinvest Alabang Inc. (FAI).
While many small enterprises in Metro Manila and Calabarzon, which respectively have the largest and second largest number of SMEs in the country, are likely to start at home, studies show once these entrepreneurs and professionals need additional manpower, they tend to seek highly accessible and attractive locations for their employees.
Filinvest City in southern Metro Manila has been benefitting from these expanding businesses – made up mostly of professionals and entrepreneurs in information and communication, financial and other services, according to Ilagan.
“We recognize this new generation of entrepreneurs that has grown owing to our country’s rapid economic growth as well as technological breakthroughs like the Internet economy that allows them to serve global clients.”
Because Filinvest City’s current stock of office buildings is almost gone, FAI launched Parkway Corporate Center, its first purely-office condominium investment for endusers. The 32-story premium office tower is positioned to be a prestigious address for this rising class of business owners and professionals.
Many of Parkway Corporate Center’s prospective buyers deal with global clients either directly or in behalf of their local clients. They thus require high speed Internet connections, uninterrupted power supply and security round the clock, in case they need to do video conferences with partners in other time zones. Thus, the office tower provides fiber optic backbone, 100 percent power backup, a 24-hour security station complemented by CCTV cameras and an RFID Access Card system.
Unlike nearby office spaces built in earlier decades, Parkway Corporate Center units average 36 sqm considering that work teams today are leaner. Moreover, all units have windows overlooking Festival Mall’s River Park, Laguna de Bay or the garden city’s emerging skyline. All building occupiers will also have access to an in-house business center with rooms that can host meetings, seminars and small business functions and will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. Should bigger enterprises need more space, adjoining units can easily be combined.
Moreover, Parkway Corporate Center is only a few steps away from the myriad dining, retail and entertainment options of Festival Mall. It is also easily accessible via public transportation as well as privately-owned vehicles since it is at the gateway of Filinvest City, less than a kilometer from the Filinvest exit of the South Luzon Expressway.
Parkway Corporate Center is located in a high- visibility address. It is flanked by Corporate Avenue a main thoroughfare of the business center, and Parkway Avenue where top-end residential condominium developments are now rising. “As more businesses and residents flock to this convergence hub between Calabarzon and Southern Metro Manila communities, we foresee Parkway Corporate Center’s values increasing,” said Ilagan.
