‘Experience New Zealand’ fair offers 5 PAL trips to Auckland
Experience New Zealand at the Glorietta Mall from May 20 to 22 and get a chance to win five round-trip tickets from Philippine Airlines to New Zealand, setting of the famous blockbuster movie Lord of the Rings.
“This ‘Experience New Zealand’ Fair comes at a special time as the Philippines and New Zealand celebrate 50 years of diplomatic ties in 2016,” says New Zealand Ambassador David Strachan.
Ambassador Strachan adds:” We have a growing number of Filipino learners choosing New Zealand as their education destination. Around 3,000 Filipinos studied in New Zealand in 2015, 71 percent more than in 2014.”
As a special treat for students taking Philippine Airlines to New Zealand, Philippine Airlines (PAL) will expand the baggage allowance to 40 kilos for them, and it will be applicable even from their destination outside Manila. This was announced by David Lim, the airline’s SVP for commercial group. PAL flies four times weekly to New Zealand via Cairns, Australia.
The NZ fair highlights not only key educational institutions and travel destinations, but also the best of NZ food and beverage. Companies showcasing such products are New Zealand Natural Ice Cream Inc. (Emerald Foods), Elite Fruit Marketing Inc. ( Zespri kiwi fruits and Enza apples), Goodman Fielder Int’l. (milk, dairy, fats and oils), Federated Distributors (Palm corned beef), Manuka Health (honey), MYOWN Meat Shop (seafood, lamb, vegetables, meat), Sonrace Inc., (Whittaker’s chocolates), Don Revy Phils. Buyers can claim their stubs at the PAL booth. There will be five draws: one on May 20 (8 p.m.); two on May 21 ( 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.); and two on May 22 (3 p.m. and 8 p.m.).
Ambassador Strachan is also excited about new air services that significantly cut travel time between both countries saying, “The introduction of Manila to Auckland flights makes it easier than ever before for Filipinos to travel to New Zealand to visit friends and family and to enjoy our beautiful country.”
New Zealand’s high-quality food and beverage products will also take center stage during “Food Connection 2016,” an exclusive, invitation-only event that is part of Experience New Zealand 2016.
“We are pleased to introduce food and beverage products from New Zealand to the Philippines at Food Connection 2016, and attract more Filipino consumers to great New Zealand products,” says Hernando Banal, New Zealand trade commissioner to the Philippines.
