A journey of self-discovery
Entrepreneur Lauren Silverio radiates warmth and affection. Her vibrant personality shines through the toughest of times, allowing her to discover a strong-willed and compassionate woman inside her.
As the chief financial officer of Petalier, an online shop that specializes in luxury boxed blooms, Lauren takes pride in being able to keep up with the demands of the blooming venture with her business partner Diane Yap.
“I’m lucky to have Diane as a partner in Petalier. My strengths complement hers, that’s why our tandem works. I have an entrepreneurship background and I like figures and statistics. Meanwhile, Diane is more on the creative and the innovation side of the business. She’s really good at what she’s doing that’s why her passion in Petalier turned to my passion as well,” shares Lauren, who graduated magna cum laude at the Enderun Colleges with a degree in Entrepreneurship.
“Our dream for Petalier, which centers in bringing happiness to people, is for it to grow financially and to be an industry leader in the future in terms of modern bouquet settings.”
Lauren may be busy as an entrepreneur but above all, she is a mom to five-year- old Iñigo and wife to husband Iman. She treasures the journey that she has taken on becoming a young mom and takes all the lessons of that journey to heart.
“I am lucky to have the support system that I had at the time. My family, husband and my husband’s family were all by my side. If it weren’t for them, I don’t think I would be where I am now. I am grateful for them every day for the love and support they have given me. Through this, I also learned to embrace maturity in every aspect of my life,” shares Lauren, who is currently expecting her second child.
Now with a growing family, Lauren is determined to raise her children to a home full of love, joy and peace. “Between me and my husband, I am the strict one towards our son, especially when it comes to discipline and his studies. I am strict but Iñigo and I are really close. As parents to our son, my husband and I are supportive of each other’s decisions and we respect each other’s beliefs,” relates Lauren, whose mantra is rooted from one of her family’s guiding principles; “Always give your best in everything that you do because if you settle for something half- baked, you already failed.”
Lauren’ s happiness is anchored on her life accomplishments so far — being a mom and a wife, a successful entrepreneur. Aside from that, she finished college with honors. These accomplishments give her contentment. “I am a young mom and I’ve learned a lot being one. I finally found who I am as a person. I am happy to say that I feel accomplished now as a woman,” Lauren says.
