Francis Kong on #HowToAdult
Maturity is the key to success. This is according to motivational speaker, business consultant and The Philippine STAR columnist Francis Kong. An expert on wealth management, Kong writes about financial management, especially for millennials.
As part of The STAR’s advocacy on financial literacy through Single/Single, and his regular weekly column, Kong also conducts the Wealth Management Caravan. As the series premieres its second season tonight at 10PM on Cinema One, the caravan will soon be on the roll once more.
“I’m excited because Single/ teaches values and reflect the realities of the young people’s lives. The project has given me the privilege of participating in the discussion where I get to express my thoughts and opinions and direct it to the same audiences for the TV series,” Kong said.
From financial literacy, the series will further tackle topics on # HowToAdult. Kong gave a few insights on other aspects of a millenial’s life.
“The young generation should also focus on their career development, as well as relationship commitment. Each is an essential factor in one’s character development,” Kong imparted.
“The key is maturity. It does not only involve intellectual growth but emotional as well as spiritual growth. One should intentionally seek growth and development for his/her total well-being,” he added.
While one seeks to better oneself, it’s most important that he/ she is self-aware. Kong shared his thoughts on how important it is that one is conscious of what he/she aims to achieve.
“Any navigational device you use in your trips and destination will always start with the necessity of being aware of your ‘current location’—that is akin to having self- awareness of one’s current condition and the need to know where one is going and how to get there. Without this, then success is practically impossible. Luck is not a strategy,” he emphasized.
