-

The Center for Global Best Practices (CGBP), in collaboration with the International Chamber of Commerce, is holding a special seminar entitled, Best Practices in Business and Diplomatic Protocol on June 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyong City.

What is the protocol in visiting a company or government office? Protocol when traveling with superiors, subordinates or peers. Protocol in seating with your guest in a plane, car or other mode of transport? There are many things you should learn about protocol that can make a difference in the way people regard you. It matters that you are conducting yourself in the right way in events including product launches, signing ceremonies, ribbon-cutting, speech in conferences, business meetings, planning sessions and other important occasions.

This special program will feature Jose Abeto Zaide, the former chief of protocol of the Department of Foreign Affairs. As a career diplomat, he has 40 years of solid experience in diplomacy and foreign affairs, being assigned as Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia and France.

Another speaker to be featured is Ruy Moreno, who is presently vice chairman of the Center for Global Best Practices and concurrently holds the positions of chairman of the Philippine-Myanmar Business Council, executive director of the International Chamber of Commerce Philippines, and director for operations of the private sector- National Competitiveness Council (2008 to present).

This one- day seminar is best-suited for company owners and the board, businessmen and entrepreneurs, management and its officers, government officials, international traders, negotiators and consultants as well as your spouse and children. It’s a must that senior and top executives learn their protocol. And if you are in sales, protocol is very important. At the very least, an organization should have a protocol officer and have a protocol manual.
