Life gets better with Hermès
Hermès recently re- opened its doors in Makati seven years after it was first launched in the city. The expanded boutique now occupies a much larger space of two levels (the ground floor is 118 sq. m. and the second level measures 124 sq. m.) at Greenbelt 3.
The L- shaped ground floor space is mainly dedicated to the brand’s equestrian collection, finely made accessories and leather goods. This area is particularly designed for women’s apparel, complete with a fitting room and a separate washroom. Flanking the entrance to the first floor are the perfumery and the brand’s beach collection display.
The second level has the men’s ready-to-wear collection, complete with accessories, shoes and ties. A convenient fitting room and the VIP room are also on this floor.
“La Maison,” which carries the brand’s line of furniture and home accoutrements, occupies a large part of the open second level space. Neatly laid out, it has a designated dining room, living room and office and work areas. Furthering the illusion of nooks is the strategic placement of uniquely- designed furniture, homeware and pillows, linens and even wall fabrics and wallpaper samples. The brand’s baby line is here, too.
Guests were treated to refreshments at the store and were whisked by buses to a secret venue for a private party. The affair turned out to be at the nearby San Lorenzo Village Park where an air-conditioned tent was put up. There were sumptuous food and overflowing champagne for guests to enjoy as they danced the night away.
Hermès has always made the quality of its products an utmost priority. A family owned company, it is managed by chief executive officer Axel Dumas and its artistic direction is led by
Pierre- Alexis Dumas, both sixth- generation family members.
