Investments, learning opportunities at Davao Franchise Expo

With three activities grouped in one event, “Franchising Negosyo para sa Davao” will allow its visitors explore different aspects of franchising.

Organized by the Philippine Franchise Association (PFA), the franchise show will feature Franchise Davao Expo on May 20 to 22; “How to Franchise Your Business” seminar on May 20, and seminars on “How to Invest in the Right Franchise” which will feature franchise presentation during the exhibit.

“The show will benefit both existing business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs as they learn from franchise leaders on how to do franchising right,” said PFA President Alan Escalona.

Twenty-nine brands will participate in the franchise expo which provides business matching opportunities for both business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs.

The food and beverages exhibitors include 7-eleven, Bean Leaf, Bibingkinitan, Choobi Choobi, Crystal Clear, Famous Belgian Waffles (Gyro V, Mares), Goldilocks, Goto King, Jollibee, Max’s Group, McDonald’s, Minute Burger, and Sitsirya Sari-Sari.

Non-food exhibitors include 2Go Express, Canadian Tourism & Hospitality Institute, Expressions, Farmacia ni Dok, Francorp, Generika, La- Z- Boy, Macho Mucho, Motech, Paras Alter Station, Phoenix Petroleum, Read Smart, Seaoil, The Generics Pharmacy, U-Franchise Sales & Management, and Xcess Salon.

For the seminars, the ‘How to Invest in the Right Franchise’ seminar aims to educate the public on wise franchise investment while the “How to Franchise Your Business” seminar intends to businessowners how franchising can help grow their business.

Franchising Negosyo Para sa Davao is part of PFA’s advocacy to promote franchising as a tool to create businesses and generate jobs all over the country. The exhibit is the first in the Mindanao leg of PFA’s regional franchise shows and is a vote of confidence for Mindanao as a land of opportunities.

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region XI Director Ma. Belenda Ambi will grace the event as keynote speaker, opening the ceremonies at 1:30 p.m. A franchise forum will immediately follow featuring successful entrepreneurs, franchisors and franchisees in a panel discussion to be moderated by Mon Lopez, executive director of Go Negosyo, with Lin Deres, franchise relations manager of Goldilocks.

“We invite everyone to attend the ‘Franchising Negosyo para sa Davao’ and seize this opportunity to explore and learn more about franchising in this three-inone event,” Escalona said.

“Franchising Negosyo para sa Davao” is organized in partnership with BPI Family Ka-Negosyo, PLDT Smart SME Nation, Abreeza Mall, Ayala Malls, 2Go Express, Phoenix Petroleum, DTI, Negosyo Center, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. and Go Negosyo.
