SLMC-QC 1st JCI-accredited academic medical center hospital in Philippines
St. Luke’s Medical Center- Quezon City ( SLMC- QC) achieved another milestone in Philippine health care by being accredited as the country’s fi rst academic medical center hospital by Joint Commission International ( JCI) — a prestigious international health care accreditation organization and the author and evaluator of the most rigorous international standards in quality and patient safety.
In the official certification from JCI, “St. Luke’s Medical Center- Quezon City has been Accredited as an Academic Medical Center Hospital by Joint Commission International, which has evaluated this Academic Medical Center Hospital and found it to meet the international health care quality standards for patient care, medical education and human subject research, and organization management.”
This shows SLMC-QC’s commitment to continuously raise the quality of health care delivery while meeting the more stringent standards set by JCI.
St. Luke’s Medical Center-Quezon City is the first tertiary hospital in the Philippines to achieve accreditation from Joint Commission International in 2003 and since then has been re-accredited four times, including the recent accreditation as an academic medical center hospital.
