A man was killed and another was wounded in separate shootings in Malabon and Caloocan on Friday.
A shot in the head killed Guelermo Ynopia Jr., 23, at around 5:30 a.m.
He was walking out of the Malabon fish port carrying a bag of bangus or milkfish when an unidentified gunman shot him, police said.
Ynopia was called a “bakaw,” short for “batang magnanakaw” or “young thief,” police said.
Meanwhile, Roberto Andaya, 41, was shot thrice, allegedly by Ryan Enganio, in a food store along St. Francis Street in Shelterville Subdivision in Caloocan City at around 12:30 a.m.
According to initial police reports, Enganio, also a customer, was irritated by the noise Andaya and his drinking buddy were making in the store.
He pulled out a pistol and shot Andaya thrice, police said. Investigators found three fired cartridges from an unknown pistol in the store.
