Unidentified woman hurt in hit-and-run

A still unidentified woman was reported to be in critical condition after she was hurt by a speeding car in Quezon City at past midnight yesterday.

Witnesses said the woman, clad in a striped shirt and gray pants, was crossing along Congressional Avenue in Barangay Bahay Toro at past 1 a.m. when she was hit by the car, said Senior Inspector Elmer Monsalve, chief of the Quezon City police’s homicide investigation section.

The residents said the victim was unconscious when she was taken to the Quezon City General Hospital.

Monsalve said they are verifying reports that the woman was dumped from the car.
