P145-M shabu seized in Cavite sting

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – At least 29 kilos of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P145 million were seized in a sting in Imus, Cavite on Friday.

Ariel Ajido, 33, was arrested during a raid on his house at Dream Ville Subdivisio­n in Barangay Carsading Bago 11 at around 4:30 p.m., said Senior Superinten­dent Eliseo Cruz, Cavite police director.

Cruz said Ajido is on the list of top drug suspects in the city and has been under surveillan­ce for some time.

Police seized a Ford Ranger (WLI-738) that the suspect allegedly used for his illegal activities.

Chief Superinten­dent Roland Santos, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) acting police director, said at least 100 people were arrested in recent drug stings in the region.

Early this week, four persons were arrested and 10.4 kilos of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P26 million were recovered in Bacoor, Cavite.

Meanwhile, marijuana bricks worth around P800,000 were recovered in a bus in Kapangan, Benguet yesterday.

The marijuana leaves were in two backpacks left in a bus plying the Baguio City-Kapangan route.
