Leonard Peocock has got to be the bravest character I have encountered. He speaks with honesty, sadness and pain, that it almost break me. He is intelligent. He appreciates every little things and he’s longing to be loved. He wants to kill himself on his birthday in order to escape the sad reality that his life is so messed up but I can see that he’s just trying to help himself to conquer all the fears, insecurities and sadness. I instantly became attached to the story because I feel like Leonard understands what I’m feeling. The book helps me a lot in overcoming my depression — it tells Leonard not to give up and so, I need to do the same thing. @nb sale rt@ philippines tar# my f ave book my s elfie 2016 @sighboooks Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi. Juliette Ferrars is said to be a psycho and murderer because she’s not an ordinary girl. She is more than human. Her touch is lethal. One touch of her skin can make you writhe to death. After she accidentally reveals her power in front of many people, she goes through a rollercoaster of sufferings. From the harsh and unforgivable words that were thrown at her, down to the asylum wherein she was locked in for months, and the time she went face-to-face with the abusive leader of the Reestablishment, Paris Anderson. Despite all these, she manages to stay strong and believes in herself even though she often doubted her capabilities. Eventually, she becomes the leader of the Reestablishment. Ignite Me is not just a plain dystopian-love story, it is filled with countless of learnings that you’ll forever keep in your mind and in the depths of your heart. #myfavebookmyselfie2016 @ nbsalert@philippinestar
