Brews, grub and beats
The foodie district of Makati was filled with great brews, grub and beats for the second instalment of the Valero Eat Street food festival. The event was held at the al fresco atrium of Robinsons Luxuria’s Signa Designer Residences in Salcedo Village.
Up-and-coming and already famous restaurants, patisseries and breweries presented exclusive selections of gourmet dishes and drinks for over 1,200 foodies and guests from all over the metro.
Featured merchants came from Manila’s renowned food streets, such as Parañaque and Kapitolyo. The selection included Ancho Mexican Cantina, BAO.MNL, Crunchybelly by Carlo’s Kitchen, WAGGER, Alternative Food Lab, P&P Taste Buds, Inc., Streetside Bakers, Saddam’s Shawarma, Ice Pops Manila, Snag Box Gourmet Hotdogs, RibsManila, Taco Vengo!, Serbesa MNL, Ricefix by Cafe162, Coldstone Creamery, Babci Kuchnia, Inasalan, Crisp on 28th, Pink Panda, Native Gourmet, Takao, and Cannoli & Co.
“The goal is to bring a unique gastronomic experience for the residents, professionals and food lovers from Makati and nearby areas,” said Samantha Zaragoza of Ampersand Collective, the event’s agency, which also helped select the artisan restaurants that participated in the food and drink fest.
Guests were serenaded by Shirebound and Busking, and artist Keiko Necesario. For added entertainment, Takao held a beer pong competition, while Zomato led a flip cup tourney.
