Shell unveils lubricant bulk facility

-

Shell Philippines and PRESAM Construction General Services Inc. recently inaugurated the 34th North Lubricants Exchange Hub bulk facility in Tiaong, Guiguinto, Bulacan to continue the delivery of high quality lubricant products to numerous Shell customers.

The 34th North Lubricants Exchange Hub will handle Shell’s bulk lubricant storage and distribution for customers in Luzon and some parts of Visayas and Mindanao. The bulk facility has 16 tanks for the storage of 11 products ranging from marine oil, engine oil, industrial oil, and hydraulic oil.

Addressing concerns for current and future energy supply, building the bulk facility in good proximity to major ports and transport hubs in Luzon and near a freeway makes storage and distribution of Shell lubricant products to customers efficient and beneficial for the business.

Shell’s global leadership in the power, energy and gas technology industry paves the way for establishment of smarter infrastructure such as this bulk facility designed to provide customers with concept lubricants and smarter products, significantly contributing to the growth of Shell business in the country.

“The interconnection of SLEX and NLEX places the facility in a strategic position, making it ideal for storage solutions and customer access,” Presam president Archie Cruz.

Opening the bulk facility supports Shell’s aim to sustain its market competitiveness despite the closure of its Pandacan depot. LSC logistics manager for Asia Pacific Jack Heng and lubricants business manager for Philippines and Thailand Dennis Javier spearheaded the establishment of the facility to guarantee Shell customers of stable supply of lubricant products.
