Phl’s top 10 architecture firms get BCI Asia awards
Construction research firm BCI Asia has recognized the top 10 active architecture firms and property developers in the Philippines for 2016.
BCI Asia recognizes annually the biggest 10 developers and architects with the greatest aggregate value of projects under construction during the last full calendar year, weighted by the extent of their sustainability efforts.
For architecture firms, pretender projects were included to recognize early incorporation of green design efforts.
Among the 10 property firms cited by BCI Asia were 8990 Housing Development, Ayala Land, Century Properties Group, DMCI Homes, Filinvest Alabang, Kisan Lu Lands & Development, Megaworld, Robinsons Land, Rockwell Land and SM Prime Holdings.
On the other hand, the top 10 architectural firms were Aidea, Arch Haus Asia Consultants, ASYA Design, GF & Partners, Jose Siao Ling & Associates, LPPA Design Group, Palafox Architecture Group, Pimentel Rodriguez Simbulan, VISIONARCH, and W.V. Coscolluela & Associates.
The portfolios of these elite architecture firms amount to $12.51 billion worth of properties, which are scheduled to start construction in Philippines this year while the portfolios of these top developers are valued at $4.27 billion.
The annual event — now in its 12th year — is held in seven Asian regions, including Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Beyond recognizing developers and architecture firms in the seven regional markets, BCI Asia Awards aims to encourage the creation of socially-responsible architecture.
Celebrating 12 years of building and design leadership, BCI Asia Awards remains as one of the most coveted awards in the regional building industry while serving as a platform for domestic and international networking among elite architecture firms, property developers, manufacturers and service providers.
Other than the BCI Asia Top 10 Awards, FuturArc Prize (Green design competition) and FuturArc Green Leadership Award (Green built projects competition) will also be announced and bestowed at the ceremonies.
