Phl’s top 10 architectu­re firms get BCI Asia awards

Constructi­on research firm BCI Asia has recognized the top 10 active architectu­re firms and property developers in the Philippine­s for 2016.

BCI Asia recognizes annually the biggest 10 developers and architects with the greatest aggregate value of projects under constructi­on during the last full calendar year, weighted by the extent of their sustainabi­lity efforts.

For architectu­re firms, pretender projects were included to recognize early incorporat­ion of green design efforts.

Among the 10 property firms cited by BCI Asia were 8990 Housing Developmen­t, Ayala Land, Century Properties Group, DMCI Homes, Filinvest Alabang, Kisan Lu Lands & Developmen­t, Megaworld, Robinsons Land, Rockwell Land and SM Prime Holdings.

On the other hand, the top 10 architectu­ral firms were Aidea, Arch Haus Asia Consultant­s, ASYA Design, GF & Partners, Jose Siao Ling & Associates, LPPA Design Group, Palafox Architectu­re Group, Pimentel Rodriguez Simbulan, VISIONARCH, and W.V. Coscolluel­a & Associates.

The portfolios of these elite architectu­re firms amount to $12.51 billion worth of properties, which are scheduled to start constructi­on in Philippine­s this year while the portfolios of these top developers are valued at $4.27 billion.

The annual event — now in its 12th year — is held in seven Asian regions, including Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippine­s, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Beyond recognizin­g developers and architectu­re firms in the seven regional markets, BCI Asia Awards aims to encourage the creation of socially-responsibl­e architectu­re.

Celebratin­g 12 years of building and design leadership, BCI Asia Awards remains as one of the most coveted awards in the regional building industry while serving as a platform for domestic and internatio­nal networking among elite architectu­re firms, property developers, manufactur­ers and service providers.

Other than the BCI Asia Top 10 Awards, FuturArc Prize (Green design competitio­n) and FuturArc Green Leadership Award (Green built projects competitio­n) will also be announced and bestowed at the ceremonies.
