Timbuk2 unveils 1st Custom Bag Studio

-

Over the past 27 years, Timbuk2 has been a pulsating brand that has advocated individual style, intuitive function and future shaping with its iconic range of bags.

This season, Timbuk2 elevates its presence to a whole new level with the launch of the first Timbuk2 Custom Bag Studio in Manila.

Held last July 5, the atmosphere reflected the spirited nature of Timbuk2 as guests unwound over light food and beverages.

The program soon commenced as Timbuk2’s global product manager, Jenn Knaus took over the stage to discuss the brand’s plans in the Philippines, of which includes the unveiling of the

Timbuk2 Custom Studio – a shop mounted in collaboration with Bratpack Greenbelt 5. To give its attendees a clearer picture of what the Custom Bag Studio was all about, a special demo was conducted alongside a friendly contest, which asked the guests to design their own paper Timbuk2 bag.

One winner got to take home a customized Timbuk2 bag.

As its name suggests, the Custom Bag Studio allows for complete personalization of Timbuk2 bags in addition to its selection of constantly evolving, limited edition styles and fabrics. An open invitation to let loose and make a personal style statement, on offer at the studio are 9 different styles, 13 different sizes, 106 different colors, 30 different panels, and 43 different accessories, resulting in over seven trillion permutations possible and available.

Anyone who is interested in having a custom Timbuk2 bag made may simply head over to the Bratpack Greenbelt 5 store where the Custom Bag Studio is located. Upon finalizing the elements and components of the customized design, the bag will be made in San Francisco and shipped out for pick up in three to four weeks.

Founded in a San Francisco garage in 1989 by bike messenger Rob Honeycutt, Timbuk2 is a brand borne out of a dedication to the cycling community and the city.

To this day, all Timbuk2 products remain to be manufactured in San Francisco’s Mission district – a reflection of its commitment to fostering access, opportunity, community, and craft.

Above all, at the core of Timbuk2 is to drive urban progress by providing better products, thus shaping better communities and better cities.

This season, Timbuk2 channels its signature brand of service to the vibrant city of Manila as it unveils the first Timbuk2 Custom Bag Studio – the 15th shop among its global studios.
