At least four drug suspects were killed in Metro Manila since Wednesday night, none of them in police operations.

In Manila, Terry Cayuvit, 34, was shot by several masked men who entered his house in Pandacan while he was sleeping at past midnight.

Police Officer 3 Marlon San Pedro said the assailants could have waited for Faye Feliciano, the victim’s partner, to leave the house before they attacked.

A note stated that Cayuvit, reportedly a member of the Bahala Na gang, was a drug pusher.

Also in Manila, pedicab driver Danilo Mendoza Jr. was shot dead by two men on a motorcycle as he was standing at the intersection of Franco and Penalosa streets in Tondo at around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Senior Police Officer 4 Glenzor Vallejo said Mendoza was included in the watchlist of the Manila Police District Station 1 but refused to submit himself to authorities.

Barangay 78 chairman Rody Inocencio said the suspect was known in the area as a police informant and it was not clear whether he was killed because of his illegal drug activities or his dealings with the police.

Stabbed

In Las Piñas, alleged drug pusher Simplicio Arcenal was found dead from stab wounds at a vacant lot near the St. Mary Compound before 8 a.m. yesterday.

A sign looped around Arcenal’s neck identified him as a pusher and a sachet of shabu was found in his pants pocket, the Southern Police District said.

Police said Arcenal was known as a drug peddler in Barangay Almanza Uno and allegedly maintained a drug den in the compound.

In Pasig City, six motorcycle-riding men shot dead suspected drug pusher Jeffrey Jocson, 30, as he was waiting for clients along De la Paz street in Barangay Pinagbuhatan at past midnight yesterday.

Jocson died at the scene from gunshot wounds in the head.

6 arrested in stings

At least six persons, including two women, were caught in separate stings in Quezon City and Pasig since Wednesday.

Felizardo Mallari, 25, was arrested along Mabilis street in Barangay Pinyahan at around 3 a.m. Two sachets of shabu and P100 marked money were confiscated from him.

Philip Palaban, 30, was nabbed with six sachets said to contain shabu at his house in Barangay Sta. Monica at around 7:45 p.m.

Maniel Gaba, 35, and Nelson Destacamento, 22, were arrested while police officers were conducting an anti-crime drive along Pampanga street in Barangay Sto. Cristo at around 3 a.m. yesterday. They yielded two sachets said to contain shabu.

Jennifer de Guzman and Jasmin Pontino were nabbed in a sting along Asilo Ville in Barangay Pinagbuhatan at around 3 p.m. yesterday.

The two women are in the drug watchlist of the Pasig police, said Senior Superintendent Romulo Sapitula, Eastern Police District director.

They admitted they sell shabu to feed their families. De Guzman has four children while Pontino has six. Both their husbands are in jail for drug pushing.
