Now in its third year, “The Well-Appointed Life: An Auction Weekend” by Salcedo Auctions returns to Rockwell on Sept. 17 and 18 with almost 500 lots going under the hammer in four sale categories over two days.
On Sept. 17, the Connoisseur collection features antique Philippine furniture, sterling silver, fine bone china, as well as valuable books and maps. Artworks by old and modern Philippine masters plus leading contemporary artists are part of the Important Philippine Art collection.
On Sept. 18, the Fine Jewelry & Timepieces collection consists of estate pieces, diamond and precious colored gemstone adornments by Cartier, Bulgari, and Tiffany & Co., vintage modern horology by Patek Philippe, Rolex, Vacheron Constantin, Audemars Piguet and Breguet, as well as jeweled watches for ladies. The Rare Automobiles auction is top- billed by a perfectly restored 1972 RollsRoyce Silver Shadow Long Wheel Base.
As in previous years, the 2016 edition of The Well-Appointed Life holds many surprises. Pieces that are of national historic significance will be revealed at a by-invitation-only first viewing cohosted by Credit Suisse in association with Dom Perignon.
The preview will be open to the public from Sept. 8 to 17 at the lobby of 8 Rockwell, Rockwell Center, Makati City (across Power Plant Mall) with the auctions to be held at the penthouse.
