Win four-week trip to Italy in 2nd Don Papa Rum art competition
Don Papa Rum invites Filipino artists to reimagine and reinterpret the award-winning label and design of its secondary packaging in the 2nd Don Papa Rum Art Competition 2016.
The competition is open to all Filipino artists, 21 years and above, who have participated in an art exhibit at least once (as an individual or with a group) and/or are represented by an art gallery in the Philippines.
The challenge is to reimagine an artwork that encapsulates an original interpretation of the magical-realist world of Sugarlandia based on the island of Negros, home to the country’s finest sugarcanes that give Don Papa Rum its signature flavor; Papa Isio, who inspired the revolutionary brand; and everyone’s premium rum brand that elevates the amber liquid into a celebrated luxury drink. Entries can be in the form of a painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, and typography. The top 10 entries will be exhibited at the 2017 Art Fair Philippines.
This year’s winner wins an all-expense-paid, four-week Artistic Ambassadorship Sojourn to Florence, Italy, with round-trip airfare tickets, allowance and accommodations by Don Papa, including entrance passes to top museums in Florence to draw inspiration from the world’s best galleries in art and design.
To join, fill out the online registration form at https://artcompetition2016.typeform.com/to/k1rPj1. A confirmation email will be sent together with the application form, guidelines, and images. Deadline for registration is Sept. 30.
