Perpetual honors media personalities, programs
The University of Perpetual Help System DALTA will once again recognize outstanding individuals, programs and institutions in the field of mass media for its 2nd ALTA Media Icon Awards to be held on Sept. 29, at the Ernesto Palanca Crisostomo Hall, Perpetual Las Piñas Campus.
This year’s theme is The Perpetualite Reel: Reflections of a youth empowered by media to become exemplary nation builders.
Awards will be given to the winners in various media categories: television, radio, print, film, social media, recording, and advertising.
The winners were chosen by college and senior high school students of University of Perpetual Help Las Piñas, the largest of all Perpetual DALTA campuses with a 10,000-strong college student population.
Special recognition will be awarded to notable media icons who have been pillars of the media industry.
For the first time also this year, there will be recipients of the Gawad Antonio Laperal Tamayo, a special citation bearing the name of the Founder and chairman of the board / CEO of University of Perpetual Help System DALTA.
The Gawad Antonio Laperal Tamayo is to be given to media organizations who
have contributed to the country’s social development and promoted Filipino values anchored on the Perpetualite philosophy of Character Building is Nation Building.
A separate screening committee comprised of esteemed administrators and educators judged the nominees for the Media Icons and the Gawad Antonio Laperal Tamayo awards. Official winners
