Family Rosary Crusade marks 38th year

The Sta. Catalina College community in Legarda, Manila will celebrate its 38th Family Rosary Crusade with a nineday novena and procession from Sept. 29 to Oct. 8. The theme for this year is “Maria Ina ng Awa: Akayin ang Aming Pamilya sa Amang Mapagkalin­ga.”

From Sept. 29 to Oct. 1 and Oct. 3- 7, the praying of the Rosary and the Novena will start at 2:30 p.m. to be followed by the Holy Mass at the SCC Chapel. On Oct. 2, the rosary, novena and Holy Mass will start at 8 a.m. On Oct. 8, there will be a Holy Mass at 2:30 p. m. to be followed by the procession around Legarda.

To ensure the success of the celebratio­n, the steering committee has been organized:

Overall chair: Sr. Daisy Fornan, OP: chair couple: Mr. and Mrs. Morel Osorio; and vice-chair couple: Mr. and Mrs. Relito Sangahin.

Chairperso­ns for the different committees are as follows:

Jay Irvin San Jose for Liturgy; Sr. Daisy Fornan, OP for dressing and Installati­on of the Image of Our Lady of the Rosary; Sr. Eden Valenciano, OP for ways and means; Edessa Brito for program and invitation­s; Sr. Meriam Litor, OP for decoration­s and arrangemen­ts; Josephine Combalicer for refreshmen­ts, reception and accommodat­ion; Del Rose Fantone for publicity, promotion and documentat­ion; Sherley Sulit for procession security and safety; Elena Cortez for physical plans and facilities; and Catherine Rivera for first aid.

Everybody is invited to join this year’s FRC novena and procession.
