Health conference tackles natural approach to cure autism
A wellness and health expert has expressed alarm over the growing number of autism cases in the Philippines.
Natural wellness practitioner, Dr. Antonia Park, owner of the Antonia Integrated and Functional Wellness Inc., citing recent health data, said there are over one million Filipinos recorded and diagnosed with autism.
“There are one million Filipinos who are diagnosed with autism of various forms, but there could be more,” Park told participants who attened the recent Natural and Integrative medicine conference in Tagaytay recently.
The conference was attended by doctors, academicians, parenting advocates and health workers from the medicine, natural and wellness sectors.
Park argued that environmental factors have contributed to the incidence of autism.
“Autism in the past is genetically acquired. But today it is acquired partly due to the environment hazards – where the mother has been exposed to various chemicals during her pregnancy. The good news is it can now be cured with the help of available health solutions and proper diet,” said Park, a medical practitioner in London and Malaysia.
She claimed that in the next few decades, natural and integrative wellness solutions will be more utilized in treating various diseases and illnesses.
At the conference, Park unveiled plans to open a health and wellness university in the country to help children with autism in the near future.
“Optimal health will be achieved through natural alternative wellness solutions and more people will have this as their health care options,” said Park, who also has a clinic in Malaysia.
Aside from Park, international experts like Dr. Mark Dargan Smith, Executive Director Regenstem USA, Dr. Sashi and , Dr. Yasotha of Zazen Health Solutions, Dr. Viraj Pereira, CEO/Executive Director of Platform Ventures and Dr. Randy Hunly, Director of Medicine and Age Management at NUmed Vietnam, gave talks on wellness at the conference.
During the event, Zazen Health Solutions launched their latest innovation called Scaler Waves and FR Sauna which, the inventors said, has been proven effectively to help cure a host of ailments, including those with metabolic, and autism problems.
