A 32-year-old female overseas Filipino worker (OFW), was stabbed dead allegedly by her textmate in her boarding house room in Pasay City.

Annaliza Sumagang was stabbed with a kitchen knife that the suspect left embedded in her neck, died Sunday morning at the Pasay City General Hospital.

Sumagang, who had been working as security guard at a big department store in Dubai, was found in her room by her boardmates at Mulawin street in Maricaban, Pasay City, police investigators said.

Before she died, Sumagang told her boardmates that her attacker was Brandon Pansacala, who was her textmate for the past two weeks.

The suspect reportedly took the victim’s P10,000 cash, her mobile phone and laptop, according to Pasay City police investigator Police Officer 3 Mario Golondrina.

“The suspect fled on foot after the incident while the victim managed to seek help from her roommates,” police said.

Relatives who sought the help of The STAR, claimed the suspect is reportedly hiding in his hometown in Davao del Sur.

Sumagang returned to Manila to renew her security guard’s license for her third deployment to Dubai.

Investigators said Pansacala, who is allegedly jobless, went to the victim’s room allegedly to borrow money but the victim declined.

This reportedly angered the suspect, who had quit his job as a fastfood restaurant service crew.

After disabling the victim, the suspect took off with her money and her other belongings.

The following day, Sumagang’s boardmates heard her faint cries and found her dying when they forced open the door to her room.

“It was almost 10 hours ( after the attack) when she was discovered by fellow boardmates. Autopsy reports showed that the cause of her death was due to the loss of blood,” said Sumagang’s brother, Isidro, who rushed to Manila from Bohol after they found out about her death.

“She was due to fly back to her post in Dubai. She was just waiting the release of her new guard license,” he said.
