Best HS dance crews in 1st MYX tilt

Nine of the best high school dance crews in the metro are set to battle it out in the first MYX Moves Street Dance

Competitio­n on Oct. 23 at SM City North EDSA SkyDome.

In the semi-finals held recently at the Fisher Mall activity center, School of St. Anthony’s DanSSA and Colegio San Agustin Makati’s CSA Dance Troupe were tied in first place in the Co-Ed Division and garnered an average score of 89.33 percent. They were followed by Fort Bonifacio High School’s FBHS Contempora­ry Danzza in second place with 84.33 percent.

The boys of Ateneo De Manila High School’s IndAK, meanwhile, bested four other crews in the Boys Division and ranked first with an average of 87.33 percent. Marist School’s Maris High Impact (87 percent) and Xavier School’s Dance X (86.33 percent) also made the cut and placed second and third, respective­ly.

It was a tougher battle in the Girls Division as only four crews competed for the Top 3 positions. In the end, St. Paul College Pasig’s Terpsichor­e emerged on top with an average of 90.33 percent, followed by School of Holy Spirit’s Aglaia with 89.33 percent and Dominican College San Juan’s DCDT with 87.33 percent.

The MYX Moves semi-finals was hosted by MYX VJs Alex, Tippy and Ai with Michael Arda of A-Team, Lema Diaz of the Philippine All Stars and Sherwin Casepe of G-Force as members of the panel of judges.

Kyle Echarri and Young JV also graced the event and performed their respective production numbers to the delight of their teen fans.
