Filvets to conduct medical-dental mission in CDO on Oct. 15

To provide health care assistance to veterans and their dependents, the Filipino War Veterans Foundation in partnership with Filinvest Misamis Power Corp. will conduct a medical- dental mission at the 4th Infantry Division Gymnasium, Camp Evangelista, Barangay Patag, Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental on Oct. 15 at 8 a.m. to 12 noon, to be led by retired Lt. Gen. Raul Urgello AFP executive director and chief operating officer of Filvets. This coincides with clinic day schedule of Medical Outreach Clinic ( MOC) No.1 stationed thereat.

Veterans /retired soldiers and their dependents are invited to avail of free medical consultation, diagnostic procedures such as electrocardiogram, fasting/random blood sugar test, blood pressure test, dental check, tooth extraction, etc.

Free medicines for treatment of hypertension, cardiovascular disease, respiratory disease, osteoporosis, arthritis, diabetes, infection, allergy, fever, colds, cough, aches and pains will be given to beneficiaries. Health devices for easier mobility such as wheelchairs and walking canes will be given to veterans on need basis. Doctors, dentists, nurses and medical technicians will be on hand to render medical services to our unsung heroes who are weak and sick.

This event will be held with the full support of Filinvest – Misamis Power Corp. contained in a recent MOA with Filvets to be able to provide and sustain a continuous medical assistance for our veterans and their dependents in Cagayan de Oro City and nearby areas.
