Jake: Yes, I am Ellie’s dad!
Presumably overwhelmed by his win as Best New Male TV Personality at the 30th Star Awards for Music & Television of the PMPC (Philippine Movie Press Club) last Saturday night, Jake Ejercito dedicated his award to “my princess” in his acceptance speech.
“To my No. 1 inspiration, my princess, my Ellie, this is for you!”
With that one sentence, Jake put to rest the nagging issue around identity of the biological father of Andi Eigenmann’s four-year-old daughter Ellie who was mercilessly dragged into the controversy spawned by Andi’s refusal to reveal who. Recently, Andi’s halfsister Max (their father is the late Mark Gil) casually identified in a radio interview that Jake is actually Ellie’s biological father, thereby exonerating poor Albie Casiño, the other “suspect,” whose career was nipped in the bud when Andi called him “irresponsible.”
A DNA test did confirm Jake as “it.”
As early as last March in an exclusive interview with The STAR, Jake virtually admitted it when, asked about Ellie, he confessed, “I treat her as my daughter.” In fact, his pictures with Ellie that Jake has been posting on his Instagram said it all. The so-called lukso ng dugo is all over his face.
