Creepy Circus Halloween at Acacia Hotel Manila

Acacia Hotel Manila offers its Creepy Circus Halloween party on Oct. 31 from 11 a.m. to 2: 30 p. m. at the Grand Acacia Ballroom. Celebrate with clowns and freaky creatures for just P1,050 inclusive of kid-friendly brunch buffet, live entertainm­ent, games, loot bags and trick or treating. A Spookfest at DreamPlay

DreamPlay Dream-Works-inspired interactiv­e play space unveils “Spookfest” package, a Halloween treat with a souvenir Shrek tote bag, access to “spooktacul­ar” fun- filled games, a map as a guide to the Halloween activities and prizes. The Halloween package is available from Oct. 28 to 31 and Nov. 1 to 2. “Trick or Treat” pumpkin games where teams composed of two to four persons who are 17 years old and below can join the competitio­n on collecting the most number of DreamPlay pumpkins and attaining the highest amount of points. The team with the most number of points wins the “Trick or Treat” pumpkin game scheduled at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Children are encouraged to dress their best for the Spookfest to join the “Halloween Dream Runway” costume competitio­n and have their photo taken with Shrek for a chance to win a special prize. Photos of participan­ts will be posted on DreamPlay’s Facebook page and the photo with the most likes and shares by Nov. 1 will be declared the winner. There is a viewing of Scared Shrekless, the Halloween-themed animated short film at the 4D Dream Theater, which will be played at 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. The Spookfest package is priced at P1,500 per person. First Grand Holloween Day at McDonald’s

McDonald’s holds its Grand Halloween Family Fun Day for the first time at the World Trade Center, Manila on Oct. 29. Catch the Magic Kingdom Show and enjoy McDonald’s meals. Tickets are available in all McDonald’s restaurant­s in Metro Manila. Kids who sign up get a cape, pumpkin bag, and a hat. They will also get a Happy Meal with one- piece Chicken McDo meal.

13 new cocktails at Village Tavern

Village Tavern introduces 13 new craft cocktails, as well as new bar plates and old-fashioned Southern favorites. Included in the new cocktail list are the Minted Mule, a brew of fresh mint leaves, hints of honey, vodka and ginger beer; Painkiller Tiki with fresh mango puree, pineapple and Coco Real juice with a hint of dark rum; and Triple Berry Cosmo made of blueberry juice, cranberry and vodka. A glass costs P145 while Bistro cardholder­s may have any of the cocktails at P95/glass until 7 p.m. Try its bar plates of fresh oysters, Tavern Sampler with Texan riblets, chorizo and goat cheese rolls, Habana Mexican-style grilled corn and Tavern nachos, and the Appetizer Sampler which includes sesame teriyaki chicken wings, prawn and mango quesadilla, homemade Jalapeno poppers and French fries. The Old-Fashioned Southern Eats includes four pieces of Monterey Chicken, Full Texan Ribs, two pieces Crispy Chicken Tacos, and Habana Mexican-Style Grilled Corn for P1,495 for Bistro Card holders.
