SWS: 65% satisfied, 16% dissatisfied with Leni

- By JANVIC MATEO

Sixty-five percent of adult Filipinos are satisfied with the performance of Vice President Leni Robredo, while another 16 percent said they were dissatisfied, according to a latest survey by Social Weather Stations (SWS).

The Sept. 24- 27 survey, which results were published in BusinessWorld yesterday, showed that 18 percent were undecided on the performance of the Vice President in her first three months in office.

Overall, Robredo obtained a “good” +49 net satisfaction rating, according to SWS.

The net satisfaction rating is obtained by deducting the percentage of those who said that they were dissatisfied from those who said that they were satisfied.

An earlier SWS survey showed that President Duterte obtained a “very good” +64 satisfaction rating (76 percent satisfied, 11 percent dissatisfied, rounded off) in his first three months as chief executive.

SWS classifies net satisfaction ratings of +70 and above as “excellent”; +50 to +69 as “very good”; +30 to +49 as “good”; +10 to +29 as “moderate”; +9 to -9 as “neutral”; -10 to -29 as “poor”; -30 to -49 as “bad”; -50 to -69 as “very bad”; and -70 and below as “execrable.”

Compared with previous post-Marcos vice presidents, Robredo’s initial net satisfaction rating was lower than those obtained by three of her predecessors in their first few months in office.

Joseph Estrada had an “excellent” + 78 in September 1992, while Gloria MacapagalArroyo obtained an “excellent” +73 in September 1998.
