His heart is in a state of bliss while hers is still recovering from pain. If you’ve been reading showbiz news lately, then you know the reason behind Aljur Abrenica’s happiness and Janine Gutierrez’s heartbreak.
Then again, for those uninformed, Aljur is on Cloud 9 these days because he and Kylie Padilla are back in each other’s arms after calling it quits some two years ago. Janine, on the other hand, recently broke up with Elmo Magalona, her boyfriend of two and a half years.

Presents Relationship Goals wanted to hear whatever they could further share to the public.
“You can ask me anything,” said Aljur who was obviously in his element when he sat down for an interview. So when the name of his ladylove was mentioned, Aljur began sharing a mouthful.
Aljur confessed that his love for Kylie remained even after their romance fizzled out in 2014. “We became bestfriends after our relationship (ended). I cannot exactly say ‘nakipagbalikan ako’ because we both felt it’s about time; that we’re ready to be together again.”
He added that their constant communication made them realize that they still care for each other. “We talked about things from time to time and after several times of meeting and talking for hours in coffeeshops, we felt na di naman talaga
nawala yun (love) so we both decided to be together again.
“But it didn’t happen overnight, the process was gradual. No one took the first move. I think we’re just mature enough to handle things,
na hindi dapat madaliin. That’s why, we came to a point na it just happened na lang; na nagkabalikan kami.” The Kapuso actor admitted he took to social media to
express his happiness, sharing some photos of him and Kylie during their recent trip to Japan. “I should have done things like that before pero mas priority namin dati kung ano ang sasabihin ng ibang tao. But it’s different now, I show my happiness and I’m glad people have accepted us.”
Asked if their second chance at love will lead them to the altar, Aljur said they haven’t discussed about settling down yet but assured, “I love her ever since and it didn’t lessen a bit even when we broke up siguro
lang kasi we were young then kaya nangyari yung ganun.” What does he expect from Kylie? “None because my love for her is unconditional. Lagi ko siyang binibigyan ng panahon and I avoid things that would lead us to have a gap or misunderstanding.”
However, Aljur hasn’t talked yet with Kylie’s dad Robin to formally tell him about their present status. He is just waiting for the right time to talk to Robin who is busy, especially now that Mariel has just given birth to their first child. “I want to present myself and tell Tito Robin that whatever happened to me and Kylie before, ‘ I love your daughter very much.’”
Meanwhile, Janine said that lack of time had caused her and Elmo to go on separate ways. She was certain that she fought for her love but sob and sigh, they seemed not truly meant for each other.
“’ Pag mahal ko, mahal ko talaga. As long as I can, I will fight for my love,” Janine said. “But would it still be right to go on if it is no longer possible for love to last?”
The decision was mutual, said Janine who never denied about crying buckets after the split. “Kahit ano
namang breakup masakit at mahirap.” And though she’s still hurting, she didn’t think or speak ill of Elmo. Instead, she prays for the success of his acting career. “I still wish him the best. Hanggang doon na lang yun; maybe we become friends in the future,” said Janine who steered the topic on her character Yapi in the latest offering of URL with Aljur as Kiso.
“Masaya at mas makulit si Aljur dito at ako naman, my role is very focused on my career,” she shared. “This is our third time to be working together,” Aljur said. “I can say that Janine is a versatile actress because she excels in drama and comedy. May pagka- romcom ito kaya mang- aasar lagi yung character ko dito,” he added. Joining Janine and Aljur in the series that is set to air for four Sundays beginning Nov. 27 are Sherilyn Reyes, Dennis Padilla, Maricel Morales, Mikoy Morales, Kyle Vergara, Stephanie Sol, Bryan Benedict, Lovely Abella, Nicki B., Kai Atienza and Allyssa de Real. It is directed by Lem Lorca.
