3 premium technologies make all-new Audi A4 stand out
THE all-new Audi A4, the latest premium executive sedan from the luxury carmaker with the vaunted four rings, is now in the country.
Powering the all- new A4 is a 2.0- liter, inline- 4 turbocharged diesel engine that delivers 320Nm of torque, and a fuel consumption of 23 km/L in combined city and highway driving. Mated to a 7-speed, S tronic dual-clutch transmission, the all-new A4 2.0 TDI S tronic runs the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 8.7 seconds, and goes on to a top speed of 220 km/h.

1. AUDI VIRTUAL COCKPIT
The Audi virtual cockpit, a fully- digital instrument cluster, features a 12.3-inch LCD screen that displays the most important information in brilliant high- resolution graphics, great detail, and with sophisticated effects.
In Infotainment mode, the central window dominates the view, providing a lot of space for the navigation map, or lists from the Phone, Radio and Media areas. The tachometer and speedometer are displayed as small round instruments on the right and left, respectively. In a second, classic view, the central window is smaller, while the tachometer and the speedometer are larger, similar to those found on analog instrument clusters.
2. MMI NAVIGATION PLUS
The infotainment system, the MMI navigation plus with MMI touch, acts as the main control element, and consists of a large 8.3- inch monitor, and a touchpad in the rotary controller to zoom in and out, and to enter characters. The entire MMI control logic is similar to that of a smartphone, and includes an intelligent free- text search function. The new, more natural, voicecontrol system also understands input in normal everyday language.
3. PARK ASSIST
With the help of 12 radar sensors (six in front, and another six in the back), Park Assist helps maneuver the car into parking spaces that are parallel, or at right angles to the road, which it identifies independently when driving at a moderate speed. It can also make its own way out of parking spaces parallel to the road. All the driver has to do is accelerate, shift gears, and brake.
