FERN-C wins World Brand­ing Awards in UK

The #1 non-acidic vi­ta­min C brand in the Philip­pines, FERN-C bagged the pres­ti­gious World Brand­ing Awards at the Kens­ing­ton Palace, Lon­don last Sept 20.

FERN-C is the first Filipino brand to win in the Vi­ta­min Cat­e­gory in what is known to be the “Ul­ti­mate Global Brand­ing Ac­co­lade.”

FERN Inc. pres­i­dent and CEO, Tom­manny Tan re­ceived the award dur­ing the for­mal gala. “Be­ing Brand of the Year is a tes­ta­ment of the hard­work we de­voted over the years. From a start-up busi­ness we be­came the top-of-mind brand for con­sumers thanks to the ef­forts of our dis­trib­u­tors, em­ploy­ees and share­hold­ers. Be­ing brand of the year also sig­ni­fies that FERN-C has in­deed be­come a global brand,” Tan said.

For more than a decade, FERN-C’s rep­u­ta­tion spread through the word-of-mouth of users who can at­test to, and firmly be­lieve in FERN, thus, the brand be­came the dom­i­nant mar­ket leader in the sodium ascor­bate vi­ta­min C seg­ment in the Philip­pines. Win­ning the World Brand­ing Awards is a tes­ta­ment of how through the years, these FERN-C users have re­mained loyal – and how its fol­low­ing con­tinue to grow.

The World Brand­ing Awards is or­ga­nized by the World Brand­ing Fo­rum – a non-profit or­ga­ni­za­tion that aims to honor the achieve­ments of the world’s lead­ing brands. The award giv­ing body screens nom­i­nees through a strict set of cri­te­ria based on brand val­u­a­tion, public on­line vot­ing and con­sumer re­search.

Other re­cip­i­ents of the award are iconic in­ter­na­tional names such as Mcdon­ald’s, Prada, Her­mes, Face­book and Coca-Cola. Among the Filipino brands, FERN-C joins the ranks of SM Su­permalls, Jol­libee, Petron and Tan­d­uay.
