Antonio Leaño at Pinto Art Museum

-

After years of doing artful constructions, Antonio Leaño has returned to painting with a show titled “East of Eden,” ongoing until Dec. 4 at Pinto Art Museum.

Art patron and Pinto Art Museum owner Dr. Joven Cuanang calls it “a marriage of science and art.” He explains, “(The works) deal with what happened after Adam and Eve ate the apple, and the consequences to mankind. He based the images of the descendants — after the sin happened — from pictures of terno- clad Filipinos from a book published by Mark Higgins and Gino Gonzales. And the mixed-media art pieces are so visually arresting.”

Pinto Art Museum is at 1 Sierra Madre St., Grand Heights, Antipolo City, Rizal. For inquiries, call 697-1015.
