Pamaskong Handog Alay sa Matatanda held

-

Christmas is a season of giving, and Firm Anima Foundation Inc. took this opportunity to spread the love and bring joy to the neglected and often forgotten sector of society – the elderly.

Firm president Artemio Lachica and program director Dr. Naomi Licuanan came up with a gift- giving project with the senior citizens as beneficiaries, thus “Pamaskong Handog Alay sa Matatanda” was born.

With the cooperation and support of Rotary Clubs of District 3810 and various benevolent business owners, the gift- giving was a huge success, bringing toothless smiles to no less than 1,175 senior citizens’ faces.

The event was held last Sunday, Dec. 18, exactly a week before Christmas at Padre Burgos Plaza in Manila. The event which included a contest showcasing the talents of the elderly, lasted for five hours.

Fun and excitement filled the air despite the erratic weather. Armed with umbrella and makeshift tents, everyone remained in high spirits till the end of the program.

It was concluded with gleeful singing of religious and patriotic songs then cleaning up of the area.

The elderly went home happy with their gifts while donors found profound joy for being instrumental to the elderly’s happiness. Kudos to the organizers and the generous donors.
