Tytana conducts Nursing Research Congress
Manila Tytana Colleges (Tytana) held its 10th Manila Doctors College of Nursing Research Congress last Jan. 18, at the Tytana GT Foundation Auditorium.
The Research Congress was keynoted by Dr. Cora Añonuevo, a member of the Board of Nursing, Professional Regulation Commission, addressing this year’s theme, “Building the Science and Practice of Nursing through Innovative Evidence- Based Research Discourse.”
There was a panel discussion with nursing research experts from South Korea, Oman, and the Philippines.
Close to 500 registrants who are students from nursing colleges and professionals from medical institutions nationwide attended and exhibited their research acumen through their evidence-based studies in the concurrent sessions, and research and poster competitions.
Nursing schools from all over the country were represented including University of the Cordilleras from the North, and West Visayas State University from Visayas.
Hospitals included the Philippine General Hospital, Philippine Heart Center, and the Sheikh Khalifa Medical City from the United Arab Emirates.
On its 10th year, the Research Congress continues to promote excellence in nursing research, and to provide research development opportunities for nursing students, researchers, educators, professionals, and leaders in the country and around the world.
This academic gathering was endorsed by the Commission on Higher Education, Philippine Council for Health Research and Development, Philippine Nursing Research Society, Inc., Association of Deans of Philippine Colleges of Nursing Inc., and Philippine Nurses Association.
