Tsinoy, 3 others tagged in teen’s murder
A Filipino-Chinese and three others, reportedly from “rich and influential” families in Ayala Alabang, Muntinlupa City, have been identified as possible suspects in the murder of a 17-year-old domestic helper, a source said yesterday.
A task force composed of police investigators from Muntinlupa, Makati and Sta. Maria, Bulacan is building up a case against the suspects, the source said, but refused to name them.
On the other hand, Chief Superintendent Tomas Apolinario, Southern Police District director, said they have identified two women and a man as suspects.
A severed head found in a creek Makati City on Jan. 14 and a headless corpse found near a slaughterhouse in Sta. Maria, Bulacan on Jan. 12 were identified by farmer Noel Sagang, 47, as that of his daughter, Richelle.
Apolinario said they are conducting DNA testing as seven people have tried to claim the head and body.
Sagang, of Zamboanga del Norte, said he will wait for the DNA test results before claiming her body.
He said he will leave everything up to God.
Richelle was last seen in the company of one of the suspects as she left Ayala Alabang, the source said.
“Investigators are determining if the victim is a girlfriend of the (principal) suspect,” the source said.
The principal suspect reportedly belongs to the family of an influential Filipino-Chinese businessman with political connections while his accomplices were alleged to be scions of rich families, the source added.
“Investigators are trying to reconstruct events leading to the gruesome crime. The way it was done raises the possibility that it was a crime of passion,” the source said.
Investigators are reviewing closed- circuit television ( CCTV) footage taken in Ayala Alabang and interviewing possible witnesses, particularly the village security guards.
“Investigators are also checking reports that the CCTV in Makati captured the suspects disposing of the severed head in a creek,” the source said.
