‘Expressions’ at Galerie Roberto

The Philippine Star - - LIFESTYLE / ART & CULTURE -

“Expressions” — organized and presented by Galerie Roberto — features the abstract works of Allain Hablo, Jeline Laporga, Demi Padua, Fitz Herrera, Beatrix Syjuco, Sam Penaso, Ritchee Yee, Jay Ragma, Demosthenes Campos, Melbourne Aquino, Marlon Magbanua, Sio Montera, Red Mansueto, and Jethro Jocson.

The show opens on Feb. 25 and is on view until March 10.

While all the works depart from visible reality, these abstractionists ( true to their vocation) explore the subconscious. Each handles material, space, color and form through individual techniques compelled by personal vision, expressive intent, and the dictates of their ideas. Whether gestural or minimalist, whether monochromatic or polychromatic, and whether geometrical or lyrical, the works are, in the words of the pioneering abstractionist Wassily Kandinsky, “a thundering collision of different worlds.”

Galerie Roberto is at the Molito Lifestyle Extension Bldg., Madrigal Ave. corner Commerce Avenue, Alabang, Muntinlupa.
