Internet goes wild over shirtless Trudeau
LOS ANGELES — A newfound photo of a young, shirtless Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has sent the Internet into a frenzy, according to a report in The Guardian on Wednesday.
Trudeau is seen shirtless in the picture looking like a finely chiseled model. The photo had been widely shared on social media.
The newly posted picture comes two weeks after presidential daughter Ivanka Trump was photographed swooning over Trudeau during the latter’s first meeting with her father US President Donald Trump in Washington.
Photos of Ivanka staring at Trudeau went viral and during an episode on The Daily Show, host Trevor Noah commented: “She looks like she’s ready to risk it all. She looks like she’s considering dressing up as a Syrian refugee just so Canada will take her in, like, ‘Let me in, Justin. ’ And I get it because Ivanka is an attractive, vibrant young woman.”
Pictures of Trump and Ivanka’s exchange also sparked a flurry of memes on Instagram and Twitter, with users jokingly suggesting they revealed Ivanka’s secret feelings for Trudeau.
Seizing on the moment, creative social media users then looked back and found other high profile figures — from the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton to actress Emma Watson — who appear to have been similarly smitten when introduced to Trudeau.
And it wasn’t only famous women who became the butt of the joke. Trump and Barack Obama have both been caught on camera gazing wistfully at Trudeau in snaps that inspired their own hilarious memes.
