UST grad tops exam for nutritioni­sts, dietitians

A graduate of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) led over 700 examinees who passed the Nutritioni­st-Dietitian licensure examinatio­n, the Profession­al Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Monday.

Pauline Catrina Vizcarra topped the exam with a score of 87.95 percent. Another UST graduate, Cherubim Barranda, placed second with a grade of 87.85 percent.

The PRC said 755 out of the 1,047 examinees passed the examinatio­n held in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Zamboanga last week.

University of the Philippine­s (UP) graduates Ann Cayetano and Yasmin Janna Serrano were tied in third place with a grade of 87.70 percent.

Abegail Garcia of UP landed in fourth spot with a grade of 87.30 percent followed by another UP graduate, Remina Amor Facultad, who garnered a score of 87.15 percent.

Two more UP graduates, Michael Franz Valencia and Megan Corpuz, captured the sixth and seventh spots, respective­ly, with scores of 87.05 percent and 86.60 percent.

Another UST graduate, Anavrin Faye Mejia, placed eighth with a grade of 86.75 percent followed in ninth spot by UP graduate Lance Dominic Ricardo with a score of 86.70 percent.

Kimberly Lucas of UST and Daniellie Lopez of UP were tied in 10th place with a grade of 86.55 percent.

The registrati­on for the issuance of profession­al identifica­tion cards will be done online starting March 27.
