Adding global color to local hotel scene

-

The newest entrant in the country’s hotel industry is banking on the growing trend of developing worldclass structures in harmony with the local color of each destination, creating unique, worthwhile experiences for visitors.

Hue Hotels and Resorts, owned by the Lee family who is into the retail business, offers a chain of hotels allowing travelers to experience the culture and authentic local offerings in world-class accommodations, starting off in two of the Philippines’ top destinations – Palawan and Boracay.

Managed by Hospitality Innovators Inc. (HII), Hue Hotels and Resorts was envisioned to give guests an authentic experience of its destination right within the comforts of a hotel, but the design and concept of each property is made to be different from one another to integrate the personality of the destination, what it’s known for and its cultural identity.

“There was no one better to help us deliver the best service to guests than HII. They are experts in making unique concepts come to life and we believe they are the best company to help us maximize our hotels’ business and commercial potential, and so we tapped them to handle the management and operations of our hotels,” siblings Dexter and Dennis Lee, co-managing directors of hotel development arm Luana Lifestyle and Leisure Hotel Inc., said.

“We, at HII, are very honored to be asked to manage the Hue Hotels and Resorts brand. It is definitely a worthy project and we were very impressed with the concept, the amount of thought they put into it, the choice of locations. They are excellent partners and working with them has been a great pleasure for all of us at HII,” said Luis Monserrat, founder and CEO of HII.

Puerto Princesa, the capital city of Palawan and the gateway to almost every other island in this province, is the first home of Hue Hotels and Resorts.

Puerto Princesa is known for its breathtaking limestone cliffs, secluded beaches and of course the famous Underground River, named as one of the 7 Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

To allow guests to truly experience Palawan, Hue Puerto Princesa provides great tour packages that explore the best of the city, already integrated into room accommodations.

From Palawan, the hotel brand also goes to tourist favorite Boracay. Hue Boracay steps in as a game changer by being an all-in-one lifestyle destination and represents both sides of this top tourist spot – the fun and vibrant side plus the relaxing beach destination that it is.

Hue Boracay is even a rule-breaker of sorts, because with its shopping and dining facilities, nonstaying guests are also encouraged to visit and enjoy the place. The expansive structure weaves in a new retail complex called Station X. It’s one of the highlights of the whole property which houses a distinct crop of homegrown restaurants and impressive shops owned by local entrepreneurs. Another main feature of the retail complex is an open space filled with greenery where guests can enjoy a picnicstyle dining area.

Hue Hotels and Resorts Puerto Princesa welcomes guests starting April 4, while Hue Hotels and Resorts Boracay opens mid-June 2017.
