30 drug suspects nabbed
Thirty more suspected drug pushers were arrested and around P2 million worth of shabu seized in anti-drug operations across the country in the past two days.
At least 21 of those arrested on Thursday were alleged members of a drug ring in North Cotabato. They yielded P1 million worth of shabu, police said.
Superintendent Romeo Galgo Jr., Soccsksargen police director, said the raids on Krislam district in Kabacan were based on 27 search warrants issued by local courts.
Galgo said 12 stolen motorcycles reportedly used in peddling shabu were also seized from the suspects.
In Rizal, Billy Joe Rio and his wife Joan, Maria Siony Tinbal and John Rey Morales were nabbed in Barangay Sta. Ana in Taytay at around 5 a.m. yesterday.
Police said 150 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P450,000, a hand gun, two mobile phones, two weighing scales and P29,000 in cash were recovered during a search on the room of the couple.
Four other suspects were arrested in La Trinidad, Benguet and five in Camarines Norte and Camarines Sur.
