Stictocardia tiliifolia
Scientific name: Stictocardia tiliifolia (Desr.) Hallier f. Syn. Convolvulus tiliifolius Desr., Stictocardia campanulata (L.) Merr Family: Convolvulaceae Local name: bulakan (Tag.), bulakan-dagat (Tag.) Description: It is a vine with numerous branches. The leaves are alternate, broadly ovate to circular, with cordate base and acuminate apex. The flowers are in 1-3 flowered cymes with circular sepals. The flowers are funnel-shape and with expanded pinkish corolla with dark or light-colored center. The fruits are globose, bearing dark brown seeds.
Distribution: Indigenous in the Philippines, E. Asia, China, Japan, India, through southeast Asia to Australia and the western Pacific Habitat: Alomg the seashore thickets and lowland secondary forests. Conservation Status: Common. Not threatened.
