When Rafael Rosell graced the recent grand launch of Sygmalift Facelift and Oxygeneo (oxygenated facial) of Nisce Skin ‘n Face Clinic (at Level 5 of SM Megamall), he made pleasant revelations to the movie writers present. Rafael is a Nisce endorser.

One: He’s been a vegan for more than four years, that’s why he’s healthy and seldom, if ever, gets sick;

Two: He has been going steady with a non-showbiz girl for almost a year now after he broke up with a girl (“a devout Christian”) whom he supported all the way but didn’t understand his practice of meditation and communing with nature; and

Three: His mother, Amelia Quimpo Rosell IV, recovered from Stage 4 thyroid cancer with the help of cannabis oil administered in Norway where the Rosells used to live (Rafael’s mom has moved back home). “She was declared ‘terminal’,” recalled Rafael. “We used cannabis oil, the one mentioned by Rick Simpson on YouTube. Look it up.”

Here’s what we found, titled Rick Simpson’s story: The Man who rediscovered the cure for cancer written by Lincoln Horsley dated Oct. 30, 2013:

Someday the name “Rick Simpson” will be a household name. He will be known as the man who rediscovered the cure for cancer by everyone. Rick’s journey to finding the cure for cancer started back in 2003 when he was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma skin cancer (The same one Hugh Jackman is afflicted with. — RFL). He had three spots of cancer on his body: two on his face and one on his neck. Rick’s decision on how to handle this diagnosis would be world changing.

After not having much luck with surgery, Rick decided to try something different. For almost a year, Rick had been extracting the oil from

the cannabis plant and ingesting it orally. He had been taking the oil for other health reasons but the cancer diagnosis reminded him of something and gave him an idea. He remembered a radio headline he heard almost 30 years earlier. The radio headline had stated the University of Virginia had found the cannabinoid in cannabis THC could kill cancer in mice. He figured that if it kills cancer in mice it would kill his cancer, too.

Rick’s decision was to apply cannabis oil to his skin cancer. He applied his cannabis oil to some bandages and put them on the skin cancer. After four days of wait- ing, he decided it was time to see if anything had happened under the bandage. To Rick’s surprise, the cancer was gone. His cannabis oil had cured his cancer.

Asked if his mom underwent chemotherapy, Rafael said, “She never did. After the horrible side effects of the radioactive iodine, we decided to not go through chemo. We learned that sometimes it’s the chemo that kills

daw, so we opted for something real and less expensive and works with no side effects…Rick Simpson’s method of using cannabis oil. Few months later, the cancer cells in my mom’s body started regressing na.”

Now we know why Rafael is in favor of legalizing medical marijuana.

“If they enlist me as spokesperson,” said Rafael, “I’d be willing to be one, along with our group Philippine Compassionate Cannabis Society (PCCS). We have collected a lot of testimonies, including kids with epilepsy who suffered from seizures 50 to 200 times a day which was reduced to only twice a month dahil sa cannabis oil.”
