Get ready to feel the magic as TV5, featuring both local and international fan favorites including The Walking Dead, Arrow, The Flash, Vikings and the PBA games, announces its partnership with Rainbow.

Rainbow is the animation studio behind Regal Academy, Maggie & Bianca Fashion Friends and Winx Club. Dedicated to TV and feature film production, Rainbow is one of the world leaders in kids’ entertainment. Its premiere series, the Winx Club, has remained one of the biggest shows for girls aged four to 12 that boasts over 15 million viewers each day in over 130 countries worldwide.

In its bid to bolster the network’s cartoon block, TV5 is pleased to bring the highlyentertaining Winx Club series to the Philippines as part of the company’s position to offer viewers a different kind of entertainment.

“We are deeply honored to have the Winx Club brand as part of our network’s premium animated content. We’ve always positioned ourselves as a chal lenger brand,” says TV5 president Chot Reyes. “We wanted to do things that haven’t been done before — that you cannot see in other networks. This partnership with Winx Club allows us to do so.”

Dubbed in Tagalog, the series follows the adventures of six fairies led by Bloom, an ordinary girl who discovers she’s actually a fairy with extraordinary powers. Bloom learns to use her magical powers at the finest fairy school in all the realms, Alfea College. At school, she meets her new best friends, Stella, Flora, Musa, Tecna and Aisha, and forms the Winx Club. Together, they study hard in school, hang out at their favorite spots in Magix and go on lots of exciting adventures. When faced with trouble, they transform into beautiful fairies and save the world from all sorts of villains, like The Trix, a trio of evil witches. But for the six fairies, nothing can defeat their powerful magic and even stronger friendship.

“Winx Club was launched in the Philippines years back but we had to be absent for quite a long time as we couldn’t find the right network to partner with,” says managing director Kumar Naryana. “So we’re very happy that we found TV5, a network that shares the same vision with us.”

The partnership is sure to excite fans of the Winx Club who have been clamoring for the arrival of the fairies in our shores. The series airs Sundays at 11 a.m. on TV5.
