At least nine persons were arrested in anti-drug operations in Metro Manila since Wednesday.

In Marikina, alleged pusher Arkiya Rakim was caught with at least 300 grams of shabu – which has a street value of around P900,000 – in a sting along Singkamas street in Barangay Tumana at past 9 p.m. on Wednesday.

Rakim is on Barangay Tumana’s drug watchlist and avoided attempts to arrest him, said Chief Superintendent Romulo Sapitula, Eastern Police District director.

“This time he was collared and we’ll see to it that he’ll rot in jail,” he said.

A policeman arranged the purchase of P3,000 worth of shabu from Rakim and they agreed to meet near Rakim’s house, where the 300 grams of shabu was found.

In Pasig City, police arrested five persons in separate operations.

Samuel Flores yielded three sachets of shabu when he was caught in a sting in Amilia Village, Barangay Pinagbuhatan at around 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Flores surrendered during the implementation of Oplan Tokhang last year, said Sapitula.

Jarvy de Guzman; Kim Jhozelle Silva; Kimberly Pancho, and Ma. Meliza San Pedro were arrested during a raid on 42 Katarungan street in Barangay Caniogan at around 1 a.m. yesterday.

Armed with a search warrant issued by Pasig Regional Trial Court Branch 152 Judge Danilo Cruz, police officers confiscated seven sachets of shabu and drug paraphernalia from the suspects.

In Malabon, three persons were caught in separate stings on Wednesday.

A 17-year-old girl was caught with four sachets of shabu in a bust along Estanio street in Barangay Tugatog at around 4 p.m.

Around 15 minutes later, traffic management personnel conducting Oplan Sita at the corner of Dr. Lascano and M.H. del Pilar streets frisked and arrested Eduardo Casople, 27, and Deter Madela, 25, after two sachets of shabu were found on them.
