Goin’ Bulilit. SM Little Stars first runner-up 2014 Jeantelle Louise Esteban modeled in print ads after the contest and joined the SM Christmas Jingle tour with other kids, while 2016 first runner-up Johan Yalong is popular in TV and digital commercial­s, and also the face of a viral campaign.

These success stories show how the SM Little Stars talent competitio­n has also become an avenue for bigger things. Now on its 11th year, SM Little Stars is an annual nationwide search for cute, bright and promising kids aged four to seven. Registrati­on is now ongoing until May 28 at all SM Supermalls. Twenty-eight kids will be selected for the grand finals on Aug. 6, 3 p.m. at the Samsung Hall at SM Aura Premier.

SM Little Stars offers not only exciting opportunit­ies, but also exciting prizes. Over P9M worth of prizes await the grand prize winners (one boy and one girl) — a brand-new Chevrolet Sail for each grand winner, P200,000 worth of cash and shopping money; free round-trip tickets for two to the US via Philippine Airlines; a trip to China for two including round-trip tickets, hotel accommodat­ions and tours; and a four-year college scholarshi­p grant from National University. They will also receive P15,000 worth of gift certificat­es from Toy Kingdom.

The first runner-up will receive P100,000 worth of cash and shopping money, round-trip tickets to China with hotel accommodat­ions and tours, a four-year college scholarshi­p grant from National University, and P10,000 worth of Toy Kingdom gift cards.

The second and third runnersup will get P70,000 and P50,000 worth of cash and shopping money, and P8,000 and P6,000 worth of Toy Kingdom gift cards, respective­ly. Runners-up will also each get a five-day and four-night trip to China for two, and any four-year college scholarshi­p grant from National University.

The grand finals will be hosted for the second time by Andi Manzano. The panel of judges is composed of TV director Mac Alejandre, Regine Tolentino, Jonas Gaffud, Princess Velasco and Zeus Collins. Winners will be chosen based on the following criteria: 40 percent for star quality; 20 percent (personalit­y) and 40 percent (talent).

For kids to join, submit applicatio­n forms with contestant’s birth certificat­e (original and photocopy), two copies of 4R size photo taken with light make-up only, one close-up shot and one whole body shot.

Applicatio­n forms are available at the Marketing Department of Administra­tion Office of any SM Mall branches. You may also download the applicatio­n form from www.smlittlest­ars.com.ph. Registrati­on is now open until May 28.
