Bello forms audit team to check LLCS implementation
A MORE efficient and strict implementation of labor laws compliance system (LLCS) was set by Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III following his issuance of Administrative Order No. 159 creating the LLCS Regional Inspection Audit Team.
“DOLE officials and employees and stakeholders are expected to work for an honest and efficient implementation of labor laws, especially those who are involved in implementing of and adhering to the LLCS’s general labor and occupational health and safety standards,” Bello said.
The labor chief designated Undersecretary Joel Maglunsod to chair the audit team, together with Undersecretary Bernard Olalia as cochairperson.
“The regional inspection audit team shall be under my direct supervision to ensure the proper implementation of the labor laws compliance system,” said the labor chief.
The team is composed of assistan secretaries Maria Tango and Federico Abuan as vice chairpersons, together with Occupational Safety and Health Center executive director Noel Binag, Bureau of Working Conditions director Teresita Cucueco, Bureau of Labor Relations director Benjo Benavidez, Bureau of Workers with Special Concerns director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba, and Bureau of Local Employment Director Dominique Tutay, as members.
The team shall supervise the regional directors and labor laws compliance officers in implementing the LLCS. They shall also identify issues or gaps in the policy and operations of the LLCs and propose recommendations to address them.
