5 slain in Bulacan drug war; 6 nabbed
Five more suspected drug pushers have been killed in Bulacan.
An alias Eugene and Ian Ramos, alias Iyok, reportedly fired at anti-drug operatives who posed as buyers of shabu in Pandi and Marilao towns, respectively, yesterday morning.
A certain Unyo and an alias Tutie shot it out with policemen in a sting in Hagonoy and Malolos, respectively, on Thursday night.
Police said guns, sachets of shabu and marked money were recovered from the fatalities. Walter Angeles was driving his tricycle in Barangay Cutcut, Pulilan when unidentified motorcycle-riding men fired at him.
Angeles and the other fatalities were known drug pushers in their respective areas, said Senior Superintendent Romeo Caramat, Bulacan police acting director.
‘High-value’ suspects
Meanwhile, six other suspects were arrested in drug stings in the past two days.
“High-value” drug pushers Totak Makadendig and Jojo Kansi, who operate in Pandag, Paglat, SK Pendatun and Datu Paglas towns in Maguindanao, were nabbed in Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat yesterday.
The suspects reportedly get their supply of shabu from a drug ring led by Abdulatip Pendaliday that is operating in Sultan Kudarat and North Cotabato. Pendaliday’s son Samir and nephew Rakim were killed in a sting on Thursday.
In Baguio City, Jessery Maglaya, 26, alias Kuya, another alleged member of a drug ring, was collared in Barangay Salud Mitra.
Maglaya reportedly sold shabu worth P5,000 to an undercover agent.
Mark Edwin Manahan, 30, and Edgar Bataan, 34, did not resist arrest when cornered by anti-drug operatives in Barangay Balite, Rodriguez, Rizal.
Jeepney driver Mario Ramirez was arrested in Barangay District 1, Cauayan, Isabela.
