Games today 10 a.m. – IEM vs Air Force 1 p.m. – BaliPure vs Perlas 4 p.m. – Pocari Sweat vs Power Smashers 6:30 p.m. – Air Force vs Creamline

League-leading BaliPure seeks to keep its spotless record as it tangles with Perlas even as Pocari Sweat and the Power Smashers clash in a duel of streaking teams in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan today.

The Water Defenders, who topped the Air Force Jet Spikers, the Power Smashers and the Lady Warriors, hope to come out strong coming off a long break as they try to stretch their run to four against the Perlas Spikers at 1 p.m.

BaliPure closes out its first round elims stint against Creamline on Tuesday.

“It gives the players more confidence which is the only thing that is needed,” said BaliPure coach Roger Gorayeb.

Grethcel Soltones, Jerrili Malabanan and libero Lizlee Ann Pantone banner Water Defenders against a Perlas side out to rebound from a straight-set loss the last time out and improve its 2-2 card.

Meanwhile, the Lady Warriors hope to break off a tie at second with the Power Smashers while Creamline and Philippine Air Force collide in a duel of struggling squads at 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., respectively.

The defending champion Lady Warriors shoot for their fourth straight victory against first round tormentor Power Smashers, who are also coming off back-to-back victories.

“Their players are fresh from their own college tournaments so they are well-conditioned. Of course, we also want to bounce back from losing to them in our first game,” said Pocari Sweat mentor Rommel Abella, who will pin his hopes again on Myla Pablo, Elaine Kasilag, Maricar Nepomuceno and Jeanette Panaga.

The Power Smashers, on the other hand, will be led by Jovelyn Prado, Dimdim Pacres, Regine Arocha and Andrea Marzan.

“We need to continue to help each other and work on our endurance so we could stay in the game,” said Power Smashers coach Nes Pamilar.
