Diptyque launches new hourglass diffuser with different concepts of time

-

Driven by the spirit of innovation, Diptyque has given the hourglass diffuser a new look. The reinvented look of the home fragrance now features a specific look and color for each scent, echoing the worlds of the fragrances’ raw materials. Now entirely made out of glass, the hourglass gives a longer diffusion cycle lasting approximately one hour — ideal for scenting small spaces over a period of several months. One can enjoy a delightful sensory experience: the Diptyque hour.

To launch the Diptyque Hourglass Diffuser 2.0, Rustan’s The Beauty Source selected and collaborated with five prominent interior stylist and designers to curate different lifestyle vignettes inspired by each of the fragrances and the story behind the scent. The five stylists are Anton Barretto, Mia Borromeo, Marissa Alejandro-Lopa, Ivy and Cynthia Almario, and Tessa Alindogan.

For the 34th scent, the signature scent of the Diptyque flagship store, creative genius and entrepreneur Anton Barretto curates The Story Room. Inspired by the smell of crumpling leaves, pungent wood and exotic spices, Anton creates a room for telling stories.

Mia Borromeo created The Time Room, inspired by the Gingembre scent. For her vignette, she used the rhythm of time as her concept and inspiration, using elements of nature and white and blue color pallet, bringing in a light and relaxing feeling into the room. Mia interprets this room as the room for someone who wants to get a little “me” time alone.

Taking inspiration from the scent of roses, interior design consultant Marissa Alejandro-Lopa stylizes her vignette with her own interpretation of a Projector Room. Brimming with natural fragrance, the hourglass diffuser scent helped Marissa create a concept of time shift for her setup.

A fragrance that encapsulates all the qualities of the tree, the warmth of the bark, and freshness of the leaves, the Almario sisters brings in the vibe of nature into a cozy room set up. Taking inspiration from the Figuer scent, Cynthia and Ivy create a place where one can rest — a place and time for nothing.

Lastly, inspired by the best-selling scent Baies, Tessa Alindogan creates The Photography Room. Taking time at random or a creation influenced by time, Tessa captures the concept of a room where memories are created.

With the new Hourglass Diffuser, Diptyque brings back the visionary world captured in perfume.

Diptyque is available at Rustan’s Makati, Shangri-La, Cebu, and also in Adora Greenbelt 5 and the Diptyque boutique in Central Square.
