QC, Pasig roads closed for repair

- – Robertzon Ramirez

Some roads in Quezon City and Pasig will be closed to motorists beginning today until Monday morning for repairs by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said yesterday.

The road works will start at the northbound section of Mindanao Avenue (from Old Sauyo Road to Mindanao Tunnel), along Commonwealth Avenue (from Litex Road to Doña Carmen), Quirino Highway (between Bernardino street and T. Urbano), and along Congressional Avenue extension (from Luzon and Tandang Sora Avenues).

Repairs will also affect the southbound lane along EDSA (near Jose Abad Santos Memorial School to Times street) and C-5 Road before Lanuza Avenue in Pasig City.

“Motorists are advised to avoid these areas and use alternate routes instead,” said the MMDA, which promises to make all the roads passable by 5 a.m. on Monday.
